(Copy of page from the letter to Henry II unable to be converted to appear on this page)

This is a copy of the bottom seven lines on page 17 of the letter to Henry, found in the 1568
Lyon edition.  One should read the punctuation following the “& Pisces,” in the first complete line
as a period mark.  This disconnects “
la lune” from “& Pisces,” allowing it to initiate a separate
focus.  The period mark determination is justified by comparing its lack of a ‘tail’ with the clear
commas found represented at five other places in this section.

While the words “
la lune” must be seen as in another line of thought, is should not be viewed as
the first phrase of focus, due to it not beginning with a capitalized first letter.  Regardless, as a
separate line of thought, “
la lune” is saying, “the moon,” as well as “there moon”.  Translating the
word “
la” as “” allows it to state, “there, here, or then,” which acts as a direction to a place or
time that would then become relative to “the moon.”  It is common to find Nostradamus referring
to “the moon,” as those who are opposed to those of the sun, as one of the two main
‘characters’ in the storyline of
The Prophecies.  In this case, those who revere the “moon” are to
be seen as Arabs and Muslims, and the place (“there”) can be seen as the Middle East, in
general.  This general focus can be determined by the lack of capitalization, which would
personify the word “Lune.”

Still, the amphibological nature of everything written in
The Prophecies allows “the moon” to be
read as the physical body that circles the Earth.  In this sense, it reflects the importance of lunar
astrology that is held dear to Arabs and mosque clerics.  In such senses, “the moon” can be a
statement about the first appearance of a first quarter crescent, following a new moon.  It is less
likely to be representative of an aspectual movement by the moon, as those as very short in
duration.

The word “
lune” is then followed by the preposition “en,” which has its most diverse translations
as, “in, into, upon, at or on.”  This is then placing focus on the movement of “the moon,” while
also indicating (amphibologically) a movement of someone from some place other than the
Middle East “into” the place typically occupied by those of “the moon,” as well as those of “the
moon” setting “upon” another place.  However, when the word “
en,” when placed prior to a place
or thing, can bear the translated meaning of “thereof, thither, or thence.”  This supports the
concept of movement away from the place of “the moon,” or towards a later time, from a cause
concerning “the moon.”

This movement and direction is then importantly (capitalization) identified as “
Aquarius,” which
is Latin for “Water-bearer,” and the Roman name for a sign of the astrological zodiac.  This is a
general reference to a lunar motion “into” the sign of “Aquarius,” but that only bears the symbolic
meaning relative to how astrologers see “the moon in Aquarius.”  This could generally represent
a time when there would be a disconnect from heartfelt emotions, where the brain is in control,
making for a reasoned view of one’s emotional state.

Still, just as “the moon” is a common reference by Nostradamus as a generic term for those of
Islam, the use of “Aquarius” can be seen as a specific (personified through capitalization)
reference to a nation whose sun sign is “Aquarius.”  This has a connection to the birth of Soviet
Russia (as a true Communist state), which was ‘born’ during the time the sun was in Aquarius,
in 1922.  This means all references to “Aquarius” can have the amphibological meaning
associated with Russia, after it removed its heartfelt emotional connection to religion, and
became led by philosophical principles sprouting from human minds.

Thus, “the moon in Aquarius” has the meaning of a venture by Islam “into Aquarius,” while also
stating this direction having an origin from the Soviet Union setting foot “upon the moon.”  This
can then be seen as originating from the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan (1979-1988), with
Middle Easterners of “the moon” going “into” partnership with the Russians of “Aquarius” after
the Soviet retreat and breakup.

This then leads to the words “
la teste,” which can translate to state “the head,” or “there” (as “”)
“head, headiness, self-willfulness, or obstinacy” (as “
teste”) or “there/the willed, devised by will,
bequeathed by will, or conveyed by will (from “
testé,” the masculine singular past participle of
“tester”).  This can support the astrological (symbolic) view of the mind of “Aquarius,” while also
associating this characteristic to those of “Aquarius,” or the Communists ruling the Soviet Union
(including their KGB).  It also associates a mental link between the Soviets and the Islamists,
where they share the same plan to reach a goal that is “devised” from “the head,” not the heart.

The reader is next led to the words “
du dragon.”   The word “du” is the preposition-article
combined form of “
de+le,” translating as either, “to the, from the, with the, or of the.”  The word
dragon” bears the same translation in English, such that it means a mythical creature, typically
one depicted as breathing fire.  However, the word is rooted in the Latin word “
draco,” which
means, “a kind of snake.”

Thus, the mythical “dragon” is seen as a huge reptile with a snake tail and lion claws, with wings
and scaly skin. As a stand alone word in this line, “dragon” can be seen as descriptive of the
one personified as “Aquarius.”  When one sees the vast span of territory covered by the Soviet
Union, one can relate that size with the danger and fear that was associated with that
Communist regime.  The lion claws were its militaristic threats used upon its neighbors, to
maintain dominance behind its Iron Curtain lair.  Its fire breath was the threat it posed by its
stimulating an escalating nuclear arms buildup, and the ways it countered the proposals before
the United Nations, in particular those put forth by the United States, as though every protective
act for good was a devised ploy against their way of government.  It was a “kind of a snake,” as
it represented the evil form that influenced Eve, who then persuaded Adam to sin against God.
This means a description as “the dragon” makes the Soviet Union be identified as anti-
Christian.

This then allows one to see how the combined form “
du” shows “the moon” being led “to the
dragon,” thus becoming “in Mind with the dragon,” while obtaining assistance “upon Soviets
from the dragon.”  The direction is then shown to work both ways, in a mutually beneficial union,
with “the moon” being transformed “into” a level of “Technical knowledge” (one metaphor for
Aquarius) that will permit them to transform into “an evil snake that instantly becomes
enormously formidable and dangerous (a definition of “dragon”).

On an astrological level of interpretation, the statement can be read as “the moon into Aquarius
to the head of the dragon,” where “the head of the dragon” was a 16th century way of naming the
esoteric point in space known as the North Node.  The North Node is one of two virtual points
(the South Node is the opposite point) that represent the intersection of the Moon's orbit with the
Earth's orbit around the Sun.  Symbolically, the North Node is seen as a karmic influence that is
helpful in regards to a native moving towards the life path that should ultimately be followed.

In astrology, the movement of the lunar nodes is much slower than that of the physical moon.
While the Earth’s satellite moves through all twelve astrological signs in roughly one 28-day
cycle, the North Node will spend a year and a half (roughly) in one sign, with its movement most
backwards (retrograde).  This means the North Node will only be in one sign (such as Aquarius)
for 1.5-2 years ever 20 years or so.

For instance, the True North Node last entered the sign of Aquarius on December 19, 2007.  It
stayed in that sign until August 22, 2009 (20 months, 3 days).  It will next be in Aquarius between
the years 2026 and 2028.  In the 20th century, the North Node was last in Aquarius between
May 23, 1989 and November 19, 1990 (almost 18 months).  This time frame becomes
significant as the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan occurred between May 15, 1988 and
February 15, 1989.

While it may not be anything more than coincidence, it should be noted that Chinese astrology
recognizes both a year of the dragon and a year of the snake.  The year between February 17,
1988 and February 5, 1989 was considered the year of the Earth (element) Dragon.  That was
followed by the year of the Earth Snake, between February 6, 1989 and January 26, 1990.  The
beliefs relative to Chinese astrology, as to the symbolic meanings of dragons, snakes, and
earth are not outside of the scope of essence that a North Node in Aquarius bears.  The years
that are recognized as when the Soviet Union collapsed and fell apart reflect a time when
change and long-term planning would be for celebrating the rise of the Islamic nation of Iran to
prominence, in partnership with a wise and analytical-minded Russia.  Both would plan the
elimination of a common foe – the Christian (Pisces) United States of America.  Also possibly
coincidental is the identification of the nation of Iran to the Dragon, along with China, based on
their birth dates and years.

With the word “
dragon” read, one’s eyes are then led to the words “en libra.”  This may appear
to be an astrological statement, as was one translation of “
en Aquarius,” but the word “libra” is
written in the lower case.  This makes it go to the root meaning of the Latin word, such that
libra” means “a balance; a pair of scales,” the symbol for the astrological sign so named.  In
addition, “
libra” is derived from the ancient Greek word “litra,” which was a measure of weight
used as a counter measure weight.  Thus, “
libra” also means a weight of twelve ounces, making
it synonymous with “equilibrium and counter-balance.”  This means “
en libra” is placing focus on
how a union between “the moon” and “Aquarius,” two opposing groups, is to “devise” a plan that
will eventually bring about the end of the world.  This union is karmic; and as such, it has long
been foretold, warning of a ploy to balance power in a struggle against what is a perceived
imbalance of power over the world.

This is the stories of a “dragon” that are found in the books of Isaiah, Daniel, and especially The
Revelation of John of Patmos.  In The Revelation, chapter thirteen, verse two, John wrote, “And
the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his
mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great
authority.” (KJV)  This symbolism includes the “dragon,” with the “bear feet” can easily seen as
being supplied by Russia, with the Persian (Iran) coat of arms clearly displaying a “lion” with a
curved sword in its front right paw.  Remember how one feature of the mythical "dragon" was its
lion claws.  This combined entity the same as that which is later called “the beast” (in The
Revelation)

In The Revelation, chapter twelve, verse three, John wrote, “And there appeared another wonder
in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven
crowns upon his heads.” This verse identifies the “dragon” with the color “red.”  In The
Prophecies of Nostradamus, the use of the color “red” is an indication of those who follow a
philosophical doctrine of the mind that is anti-religion.  This makes “red” analogous with
communism and the sign “Aquarius.”  To read (from The Revelation 13:2) that “the dragon gave
[the beast] his power,” this is the weapon Iran is fear to be seeking to develop through
conventional means.  This all means that Iran will gain nuclear weapons from the breakup of the
Soviet Union, when “the moon” will turn “unto Aquarius” (the scientific mind that creates such
devices without emotional attachment to what evils can be brought upon the world).  That
association will find “there devised from the dragon” the weapon the world most fears.  That fear
is what makes the “balance” of powers unnatural and unbalanced.  Each of the two opposing
sides possessing such weapons have hesitated to take the step that would destroy all, should
one try to destroy the other.  The fear is others will develop the same power, and too many
variables will always make the uncertainty a fearful imbalance.  Regardless, the plan “devised”
will give Iran “the power” once held by the Soviets, the “red dragon,” “and his seat,” as a viable
world power to be recognized by all (in the U.N.), “and great authority” to persecute the Christian
world (Western Europe) for having created such an unbalancing weapon.
