Tuesday, November 8, 2006, is election day in the United States of America. Please keep this in mind, no matter how you vote or whether or not you do vote: You are responsible for how our government operates. If you think that simply voting or making some personal statement by not voting is all the responsibility you have, you are wrong. Look at it this way: Suppose you are in college and you have a roommate. You both share equal responsibility for the room or space you share - rent, phone, utilities, etc. Say that roommate comes up with the industrious plan to support his lifestyle by selling drugs, while you depend on handouts from your parents. If the police bust your room and find your roommate has illegal drugs, you will be arrested, simply by being there. I know you can argue that a good lawyer could get you off, but those cost money and someone has to pay that bill; but the potential is there that both of you will be punished and labeled drug dealers. I'm sure there are those who could vouch for this possibility. The parallel is that Nostradamus has clearly identified the government of the United States of America as igniting a firestorm of hatred in the Middle East (i.e.: Muslims) that will turn into massive-scale armed conflict (i.e.: global war), which will be directed at all Americans, and in particular towards all percieved as Christians - worldwide. Even if you think by voting Democrat because you want to change the faces in Washington D.C., or if you vote Republican to keep that change from happening, nothing in our system will be changed. You have to continue making your voice known that you will not accept incompetence. The congressional disapproval rating of recent months shows how little representatives from either party are doing, and meanwhile the world is rapidly heating up to a threatening level of reprisal. The majority of the people in the United States, and even the world, see this and are fed up. Simply voting keeps a corrupt system in place. Whoever wins cannot be allowed to slack off and return to the status quo, acting like a used car salesman after a cash sale. Please keep that in mind so you don't just become politically active for one day, then return to hibernation for the next two years. Change of the major variety is coming, one way or another, and it has noting to do with party politics. It has to do with survival - short-term and/or long-term. Till the next time.
