THE TRUE MEANING OF BEING
CHRISTIAN
by Robert Tippett
By now, you have realized that what I promote is that Nostradamus was a Saint that
has never been recognized by the Catholic Church; and, he wrote what is the
equivalent of a modern book of the Bible, as a repeat of the prophecy that is The
Revelation of John.  Obviously, a great deal of Christians, of all denominations, need
to gain awareness of what I am preaching here.  From where I stand, I have to
convince a whole lot of people that I am seriously carrying a message from Jesus
Christ, in not a whole lot of time.  The most logical target for me to approach first,
since I am carrying a Christian message, would be Christians; but, with that said, it
may be easier said than done.  I say this because there already exists a whole lot of
Christians, of one denomination, that believe that a whole lot more Christians, of the
many other denominations, are going to Hell, simply because they practice a
different dogma (or any number of other petty reasons that I am too limited on space
here to list).  This makes actually understanding what being a Christian really means
become very important; and, if I shock too many Christians with that understanding,
few will invite me into their churches to tell their congregations what Christ's
message is for them.  Still, it must be known.
To preface this, one has to first come to the realization that Jesus Christ was not a
member of a "Christian" religion.  He was a Jew, as were all of the Apostles and the
greater part of his followers.  Likewise, John the Baptist was Jewish, the son of
Aaron; but, both of these holy men knew that there was more to a life in honor of
God, than simply following the dogma of Jewish Law.  What set Jesus Christ apart
from being Jewish was the way that he lived his life and taught others to live their
lives; and, this included teaching the same principles to the Gentiles, or non-Jews,
that He taught to the Jews.  In essence, Jesus Christ was the model for which all
people should live their lives, regardless of their religion.  This is the true meaning of
what being Christian is; but, nearly 2,000 years after Christ was crucified, that
meaning appears to be quite lost.
When you realize that it was not the Romans or the Jews that had Jesus Christ
sentenced to death, but instead it was the leaders of the Jewish Church that feared
Christ and had this fear removed, then one has to conclude that it is not the "people"
that had him crucified.  Christ died on the cross for the sins of the Jewish Church,
for which They knew not what They were doing.  They had been promised the
Messiah by God; but, when He appeared as one of them, accepted by the people as
a Rabbi, They feared their positions would diminish, so They did not know what
They were doing for future Jews.  No more Messiahs coming.  Just that one.  So,
when Christ arose from the dead and met with his disciples, He told them to go forth
and tell the world that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He did not tell them to only
tell believers, over and over again, so much so that those believers would eventually
get angry at the ways they were being told the same message over and over again,
causing some of them to break away into smaller groups, where they would begin
telling those believers something they wanted to hear over and over again.  Christ
told them to tell the world, which meant tell the Romans, tell the Jews - again, tell
the Zorastarians, tell everyone of all religions, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Jesus Christ did not tell them to eventually lead Crusades to kill anyone that did not
believe and convert all of the defeated masses to one specific religion, because that
would break God's Law and that religion would have the same inherent dogmatic
flaws that the Jewish religion had.  Belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God does not
require conversion to any one particular religion; but, it most certainly requires true
faith.  To be saved,  people must believe in the one God, and believe that Jesus
Christ is the Son of that God, and His model of living life must be followed, to save
their souls.  If they believe that with all their hearts and live their lives in peace, love
and brotherhood, then they are true Christians; and, after that point, it does not
matter if they shake rattles like Tibetian monks or pound tom toms and dance
around a fire to bring rain.  A Christian believes in God and Christ AND lives his or
her life according to the Laws of God and the teachings of Christ.  It is that simple;
but, just like the Pharasies of Jerusalem, some of the leaders of the churches of
Christianity might prefer to recrucify Jesus Christ, out of fear that their power may
be lessened.  Remember the Scripture about casting pearls before swine?  It is not
just a one-time worry.
